First Aid plus Bloodborne Pathogens
Classroom: New Participants 6 hours. Review: 3 hours
Blended: 2 hours online; 45 minutes in person

  • Learn how to identify and respond to common injuries such as sudden illness (fainting, seizures, strokes, allergic reactions, poisoning and diabetic emergencies), traumatic injuries (shock, bleeding, wounds, burns, muscle bone and joint injuries) and environmental injuries (poisoning, bites and stings, lightning) and injury prevention. Learn how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.

Adult CPR/AED
Classroom: New Participants 3 hours. Review: 2 hours
Blended: 1 hour online; 45 minutes in person

  • Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED
Classroom: New Participants 6 hours. Review: 3 hours, 30 minutes
Blended: 2 hours, 15 minutes online; 1 hour in person

  • Learn how to identify and respond to common injuries such as sudden illness (fainting, seizures, strokes, allergic reactions, poisoning and diabetic emergencies), traumatic injuries (shock, bleeding, wounds, burns, muscle bone and joint injuries) and environmental injuries (poisoning, bites and stings, lightning) and injury prevention.

Blended: 3 hours, 15 minutes online; 1 hour in person

  • Learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts and scrapes; sudden illnesses; head, neck and back injuries; and heat and cold emergencies. Perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies including care for choking emergencies for adults, infants and children.
  • Learn how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED with Bloodborne Pathogens and Oxygen Administration
Classroom: New Participants 8 hours, 45 minutes; Review 6 hours
Blended: 3 hours, 15 minutes online; 3 hour in person

  • Learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts and scrapes; sudden illnesses; head, neck and back injuries; and heat and cold emergencies. Perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies including care for choking emergencies for adults, infants and children.
  • Learn how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency. Emergency oxygen can be given for many breathing and cardiac emergencies. It can help improve hypoxia (insufficient oxygen reaching the cells) and reduce pain and breathing discomfort. Always follow local protocols for using emergency oxygen.

Optional add-on training:

  • Epinephrine Auto-Injector Training: 1 hr
  • Asthma Inhaler Training: 30 min

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals
Classroom: New participants 6 hours; Review 2 hours 30 minutes

The purpose of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) course is to ensure that individuals with a duty to respond (public safety professionals and healthcare providers) have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child and infant patients. Test Required.
Bloodborne Pathogens
Classroom: New Participants 8 hours, 45 minutes; Review 6 hours
Blended: 3 hours, 15 minutes online; 3 hour in person

A Red Cross instructor comes to one of your locations at a time designated by you, with necessary supplies. The instructor uses video and other media as well as extensive practice and assesses the skills throughout the session. The benefit of this delivery method is that it delivers the complete convenience to train on your schedule, on your premises, with experienced, quality instructors. You provide the space; we take care of the rest. 8 participants required.
